By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI MARCH 27. A team of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) left today for Gujarat to probe the killing of the former Gujarat Home Minister, Haren Pandya, yesterday.

The Gujarat Congress had sought a CBI probe and this was conceded by the Chief Minister, Narendra Modi. Subsequently, the Government made a request to the Centre.

Sources said that the CBI team of about 10 officials, led by a Joint Director, left for Ahmedabad. Apprehensions have been expressed that the assailants may belong to the Mumbai underworld.
