By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD March 27. The mystery behind the murder of an unidentified person reported a fortnight ago in Nacharam was unravelled by the Bowenpally police with the arrest of three persons on Thursday. Investigations revealed that the victim, identified as Sudarshan, a tent-house owner, was murdered by Chakali Nagesh (28), Chandra Mallikarjuna and Tella Raju, according to a press release. The trio was taken into custody while they were moving in suspicious circumstances. During interrogation, Nagesh confessed that he had illegal intimacy with the victim's wife.

On March 10, they took Sudarshan to a graveyard after consuming liquor and beaten him to death. They smashed his head with a boulder. Further investigations revealed that Nagesh, along with five others, was involved in two other murder cases in Gandhinagar and Narayanaguda police station limits in 2000.

After getting a bail, the accused persons kidnapped a person from the BHEL area and collected Rs. 6 lakhs ransom. However, the victim's relatives did not lodge a complaint with the police.
