Bandh evokes mixed response

New Delhi March 31. The nation-wide two-day bandh by traders against the introduction of the Value Added Tax evoked a mixed response today.

The bandh was claimed to be a big success in Delhi and some Northern States, but ``moderate'' and ``partial'' in States such as Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. Essential services including those in health and transport sectors were kept out. — PTI
