Help rebuild Baghdad gurdwara, Punjab CM urged

NEW DELHI APRIL 16. The Congress president, Sonia Gandhi, has written to the Punjab Chief Minister, Amarinder Singh, suggesting that his government take the initiative in repairing the historic gurdwara in Baghdad which was damaged during the military action on Iraq.

In a letter to Capt. Singh, Ms. Gandhi said: "I suggest that the Punjab Government takes initiative to carry out the necessary repairs and reconstruction of this ancient sacred monument.''
