Sachin's request cannot be fulfilled: Shinde

Mumbai April 16. The Maharashtra Chief Minister, Sushilkumar Shinde, today said that his Government was unable to help cricketer Sachin Tendulkar on his request for a plot in a suburb in North-west Mumbai since the area was reserved for people who had lost their homes due to Government projects.

Commenting on reports appearing in a section of the press today that Sachin had visited him on Monday to seek his help for buying a plot at Shirley Rajan Village, Bandra (West), for the construction of a bungalow, Mr Shinde said, ``I have suggested that he look for an alternative. — UNI
