New British envoy

NEW DELHI APRIL 18. Michael Arthur has been appointed the new British High Commissioner to India to succeed Sir Rob Young and he is expected to assume charge in October.

``I am absolutely delighted at the prospect of coming to Delhi later this year. Indo-British relationship is vitally important and the range of our joint interests and cooperation covers the full spectrum of issues,'' Mr. Arthur (53) said, according to a British High Commission release.
