World Book Day fete begins tomorrow

HYDERABAD April 18. In connection with the World Book Day on April 23, the Marathi Granth Sangrahalaya is organising a series of programmes between April 20 and 27 on its premises.

A multilingual poets' meet will be held on April 20. This will be followed by inauguration of a special exhibition of translated books on April 21 and there will be a `open forum' the next day.

On April 23, the director of Sri Dilipraj Prakashan, Rajeev Barve, will give a lecture on `Author: In pages of his books and in reality'. The Sangrahalaya's new branch will be inaugurated at Ramantapur the next day.

There will be an exhibition of new books on April 25, followed by poetry recital by renowned poet, Shrikant Umarikar. On April 26, Datta Bhagat, a noted name among Dalit writers, will speak on `Dalit Drama and Dalit Theatre'. This will be followed by anniversary celebrations of the Nallakunta branch of the Sangrahalaya the next day.
