Windows 2003 launched

San Francisco April 25. The Microsoft Corporation today announced the worldwide launch of an integrated server platform — Windows Server 2003 — which would cost in India between Rs. 35,000 to Rs 1.4 lakh and help corporates to do more with less at a time when budgets were tight.

``It has new additional features and enhancements. It is a breakthrough in terms of built-in security and reliability... in terms of improvement in manageability and breakthrough in terms of what it will mean for the software developer community,'' the CEO, Steve Ballmer said here, while unveiling the server platform.
