Andhra Pradesh-Hyderabad

Representatives of Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalist (APUWJ), Andhra Pradesh T.V. Journalist Association and the film industry met today morning to discuss the issue and later issued a joint statement that described the recent happenings as unfortunate. The film industry representatives sought to clarify that their intention was not to hurt the sentiments of journalist community. The joint statement also regretted the strained relations between the media and the film industry and appealed to all the concerned parties to prevent occurrence of such episodes. The secretary-general, Indian Journalist Union, K. Srinivas Reddy, the APUWJ president, D. Amar and the T.V.Journalist Association president, R. Shailesh Reddy, were present at the meeting. The film industry was represented by Allu Aravind, Parachuri Gopalakrishna, Ashwini Dutt, Thammareddy Bharadwaja, D. Suresh Babu and G. Adisheshagiri Rao.
