Pak. Rangers return Indian territory

By Our Staff Reporter

JAMMU APRIL 27. Pakistan Rangers returned 50 metres of Indian territory to the Border Security Force (BSF) in the Jammu frontier in March after the unintentional occupation was brought to the former's notice.

The Inspector-General (BSF) for Jammu frontier, Dilip Trivedi, said: "No territory was occupied by Pakistan by force. Only a small patch of 50 metres in Sangral area near Akhnoor was unintentionally being manned by Pakistan Rangers since January when the Army was manning the borders.

"But such incidents happen every now and then and this is normally sorted by the Pakistan rangers and BSF personnel. This particular problem was sorted out in the flag meeting between the two in March and the Pakistan Rangers returned 50 metres of Indian territory."
