Ex-Minister killed by pet

Lucknow April 27. A former Minister in the Mayawati Government, Ram Lakhan Verma, was trampled to death by his pet pachyderm in Pahapur village in Ambedkar Nagar district today.

He was coordinating efforts to catch the elephant, which had become uncontrollable and damaged some houses. — UNI
