Beig resigns as PDP chief

SRINAGAR APRIL 29. The Jammu and Kashmir Finance Minister, Muzaffar Hussain Beig, today stepped down as president of the ruling PDPand asked the senior vice-president, Mehbooba Mufti, to look after the party affairs.

Mr. Beig told The Hindu that it was not possible to work as Minister and also look after the party.
