By Our Staff Reporter
The workshop, conducted as part of the Newspaper in Education project, will be led by Puja Navin, a Human Resources and career consultant, and a group of experts from various disciplines. The aim of the workshop is to help children discover the storehouse of intelligence within themselves and others, derive joy from knowing that they are gifted in their own ways, and enable them to improve their confidence, inter-personal relationships and communication abilities. The workshop will have three stages. In the first stage, children will learn through music, art, Nature treks, language labs, aerobic sessions, personal missions and goal affirmations, theatre workshops, logic and problem-solving sessions, theme games, field trips and interviews. Discussions and group exercises will constitute the second stage. The third stage will involve experimentation and creative expression. The participants will be made to do projects on various disciplines, and these are to be presented at a multiple-intelligence show at the finale. The workshop will be open to students from classes eight to 12. There is no participation fee. Those who wish to take part in it should register their names with the coordinator, The Hindu-Young World (telephone number: 2353555).
