CJ call to judicial officers
Inaugurating the court on the premises of the Special Court for POTA cases at Poonamallee, near here, today, the Chief Justice, B. Subhashan Reddy, said subordinate courts were the pillars and foundation of the higher judiciary. Unless they were strong and functioned expeditiously and effectively, the higher judiciary could not discharge its responsibilities promptly. The Chief Justice also called upon the subordinate judicial officers to serve the judiciary efficiently, with speedy pronouncements of orders without compromising on their quality. Justice V.S. Sirpurkar, pointing out that the new court was being opened on the International Workers' Day, urged the presiding officer and other court staff to work overtime to meet the expectations the `dynamic Chief Justice'. He said the Special Court should not only be a court of law but also a court of law and justice.
