Letters to the Editor
Sir, The vagaries of the airlines and how their passengers are taken for a ride were brought out in the report `Taken for a ride by the AI' ( April 26 ) and such happenings are not peculiar to the AI alone. Most of the airlines, be they `swadeshi' or `videshi', do not care to inform the passengers despite advanced communication technology, so that the passengers could inform their relatives. It is a pity that in emergencies or exigencies, none of the senior airline staff is available or accessible for clarification on the position of the flight.
