Letters to the Editor
Sir, This has reference to the report `The show must go on, censors can wait' (April 10). The Government has no desire to censor or ban the media, which is portraying women as sex objects. India has become a decadent society and the media is wholly responsible for the declining morals. The electronic media has crossed all limits. The Government has adopted the economic model of the developed Western countries. But it does not mean that it should follow their cultural model. If the Government is not willing to stop this, then the only ray of hope is the judiciary. It should take up this matter suo motu considering its seriousness and far-reaching consequences, especially to women.
