dated May 5,1953: Comets for Air India

Within a week of the first anniversary of the commercial introduction of the British De Havilland Comet jet airliner, hailed as "having arrived to conquer at eight miles a minute flying eight miles high", Air India International announced it was negotiating a contract to buy two Comets to be delivered in 1957.
