Jail SP killed

PATNA MAY 2. The Superintendent of the Bhabua sub-jail, Ram Parishan Sahu, was murdered by unidentified criminals at his residence in the Bhabua district headquarters of Kaimur in Bihar today.

Police suspect the hand of criminals from neighbouring Uttar Pradesh behind the murder in retaliation to the elimination of gang leaders from across the border taking shelter in the district. Security has been tightened around the jail.
