1 killed in Doda blast

Jammu May 5. One person was killed and 32 others were injured in a grenade blast in Doda town of the Jammu region this morning.

According to Sultan Khan, Additional SP, an unidentified militant lobbed a grenade at a CRPF party at the Doda bus stand.

The grenade missed its target and exploded near a ticket-counter. While Vipal Lal of Malwana died instantly, 32 others were injured.

The condition of five of them including a woman was stated to be serious. A search operation has been launched.

Condemning the attack, the local MLA and Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Majeed Wani, termed it an inhuman act.
