Hyundai rolls out fourth lakh vehicle

NEW DELHI MAY 8. Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) today rolled out fourth lakh vehicle from its plant near Chennai.

HMIL set its foot in the country in early 1998 and began commercial production in October that year, a company statement said here.

The increase in production was backed by a growing domestic demand coupled with significant export thrust, it said.

"HMI has put India on the global manufacturing map with production efficiencies and quality standards comparable with some of the best in the world,'' the company Managing Director, J. I. Kim, said.
