IED found near HC gate

SRINAGAR MAY 8. Police detected an Improvised Explosive Device near the main gate of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court in the heavily-guarded area of the city, averting a major tragedy, official sources said.

The IED, placed at the boundary wall of the court, was noticed by a police party patrolling the area.

The bomb disposal squad was summoned immediately and the IED defused. In another incident, BSF personnel detected a powerful IED at Bandipora township of Baramulla district in north Kashmir.
