IAS officer arrested

PATNA MAY 12. A senior IAS officer belonging to the Jharkhand cadre, Ashok Singh, was today remanded to judicial custody by the Special Vigilance Court when he surrendered in the wake of the non-bailable arrest warrant issued against him on charges of corruption and misuse of power. The charges pertained to the period when he officiated as the MD of the State Finance Corporation.
