`Nitish Kumar should resign'

By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI MAY 15. The CPI(M) today expressed deep shock at the death of 38 passengers in the Golden Temple Express fire. The party's politburo said the incident again highlighted the total lack of safety measures on trains. There were neither adequate fire-fighting equipment nor first-aid boxes.

The CPI(M-L) demanded the resignation of the Railway Minister, Nitish Kumar. "The Railway Minister, Nitish Kumar, has no moral right to remain in the post," it said in a statement.
