By Our Staff Reporter

KOLKATA MAY 16. Despite all efforts by the Kolkata Port Trust and the Coast Guard, the Indonesian cargo vessel, Sigiti Biru, with 5327 tonnes of soda ash and 150 tonnes of diesel, sank tonight in the Bay of Bengal near Sandheads in West Bengal's south 24 Parganas district, about 250 km from here.

Official sources said here that all the 22 crew members of the cargo vessel, which was going to Chittagong Port of Bangladesh from Porbandar in Gujarat, had been rescued. — UNI
