Baby boy missing from Pune hospital

Pune May 16. Mystery surrounds the disappearance of a five-day old baby boy from the Sasoon General Hospital here. Police today said the infant was reported missing by his mother, Gauramma Durgesh Chalvali, who was admitted to the hospital on May 11 and delivered the baby that night.

Ms. Chalvali told PTI that a Kannada-speaking woman visited her frequently. Ms. Chalvali left the baby. and went out only to find him missing when she returned.The hospital staff were immediately notified. Later, she lodged a police complaint.
