Central legislation on Ayodhya the only solution: Togadia

Gwalior May 18 . The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) international general secretary, Pravin Togadia, today accused both the Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee, and the Congress president, Sonia Gandhi, of playing politics on the Ram Temple issue.

``If these two leaders do not take the lead in framing a central legislation, then it will be clear that they are deliberately politicising this issue,'' Mr. Togadia told presspersons here.

Mr. Togadia said, ``those who are suggesting legal recourse for solving the vexed issue do not understand the ground reality and a central legislation is the only answer to this.''

He said members of Parliament who declined to accept the signature campaign being run by the Parishad on framing a legislation for constructing the temple in Ayodhya were ``Ramdrohis'' and he threatened to prevent their entry into Parliament.

``Nearly 100 parliamentarians belonging to the BJP, Shiv Sena and some other parties have signed in the campaign,''he said.

``If expected results are not available within two months, then an intensive campaign will be launched throughout the country to muster support on the Ram Mandir issue and the responsibility for this will be on those parliamentarians who declined to take part in this signature campaign,'' he added.
