By Our Staff Reporter
A 60-year-old man, whose name was given as Parameswaran Pillai, succumbed to injuries he sustained in a road mishap on Saturday. He was undergoing treatment at the Medical College Hospital. However, according to the police, it was found on verification that no such person was living at Karamana. The body has been kept at the Medical College Hospital mortuary. The police are yet to ascertain when and how the reported road accident occurred. The Traffic police also received `intimation'' of two similar road accident deaths in which there was no clue about the identity of the victims. An official at the Traffic Help Line said the only information they have was that one of the deceased was bald and his height was 155 cm. As in the earlier case, the traffic police have no idea of where and how the deaths occurred or about the vehicles involved in the reported accidents. The bodies are being kept at the Medical College Hospital mortuary for identification purposes. An official said traffic cases have been registered in connection with the accident and investigations were on.
