By Our Staff Reporter

VISAKHAPATNAM MAY 20. A case was registered against the Anakapalle MLA, Dadi Veerabhadra Rao, and his followers by the Gajuwaka police following a complaint by a home guard that he was beaten up by the MLA and others.

The Home Guard, D. Venkata Ramana, complained to the police that he had stopped the car of Mr. Veerabhadra Rao at the toll gate near Aganampudi on Sunday for collection of the toll. But he was manhandled by the MLA, forcibly taken to Anakapalle where he was detained in a house and was beaten up. He was let off after being forced to write an apology.

The police have booked the case against the MLA under Sec. 332, 342, 365 and 323/34 of IPC.
