12 colleges get NAAC accreditation

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM May 20. As many as 12 colleges in the State have been awarded accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) during the 2002-03 academic year.

An official pressnote quoting the NAAC director, V.N. Rajasekharan Pillai, said the NAAC had accredited more than 250 institutions across the country, the highest among accrediting agencies all over the world.

The institutions in Kerala accredited by the NAAC include Devaswom Board College, Mannar, Pathanamthitta, MES Mampad College, Malappuram, Mangalam College of Education, Ettumanur, Mar Athanasius College, Kothamangalam, Mar Thoma College, Perumbavur, Marian College, Kuttikanam, S.N. College for Women, Kollam, S.N. College, Kollam, St. Albert's College, Ernakulam, University College, Thiruvananthapuram, University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram and VTMNSS College, Dhanuvachapuram.
