Cauvery tribunal final verdict soon: Minister

BANGALORE MAY 20. The Union Minister for Water Resources, Arjun Charan Sethi, said here today that the Cauvery Waters Dispute Tribunal was in the final stage of adjudication and hearing and it would pronounce its final verdict soon.

He was speaking to presspersons after inaugurating the building of the Office of Central Water Commission.

Mr. Sethi said that a second tribunal for adjudication on dispute over sharing of surplus Krishna waters among Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra would be set up soon. He said the States concerned had agreed and it would be set up within a month.
