The corrected marks for candidates will be made available on the university web site (www.annauniv.edu) on Wednesday, a release said. The TNPCEE results were published on May 3. The keys for the questions prepared by the experts were also put on the web site on May 7. However, the university as well as newspapers received complaints and comments from students, pointing to a discrepancy in the key used for the valuation. Accordingly the university formed another experts committee to go into the matter and based on its recommendation, the university revaluated one "mismatch" in the Physical Sciences PC 23 and took corrective steps in all versions of the question book for the subject, the release noted. The students could access the web site for further details and know the marks secured. Enquiries with students revealed that in the question No.54 in Physical Sciences Paper, the correct answer was `Choice C' among the four possible statements. But the key mentioned the correct answer was `Choice D'. So the candidates who answered right got no marks, and this cost them 0.42 marks. They felt this could make a crucial difference in getting or losing a medical seat and hence they sought a revaluation of the keys and answer-sheets.
