Vajpayee discusses poll strategy with Mayawati

Lucknow May 20. With BJP central leadership keen on continuing the alliance with the BSP in next year's Lok Sabha polls in the key State of Uttar Pradesh despite occasional skirmishes, the Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee, tonight had a dinner meeting with the Chief Minister, Mayawati, at her official residence here.

Mr. Vajpayee, who is on a two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency, is understood to have discussed issues relating to the alliance between the BJP and the BSP and efforts to make it more viable.
