HC extends deadline for fixing fee structure

By Our Staff Reporter

KOCHI May 21. A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court on Wednesday granted the State Government time till June 30 to fix the fee structure for the self-financing professional colleges in the State.

The Bench comprising the Chief Justice, J.L. Gupta, and Justice A.K. Basheer passed the order on a petition filed by the State Government seeking to extend the deadline by two months.

The court had directed the State Government to fix the fee structure for the self-financing professional colleges within two months when it delivered the judgment dismissing the Government's review petition in the case relating to the admission of the students in Government quota in the self-financing medical colleges.

The Government sought more time as the standing committee was yet to finish the process of working out the fee structure. The deadline given by the court had expired in April.
