By Our Staff Reporter

CHENNAI MAY 21. Proceedings in the sessions court for exclusive trial of bomb blast cases in Coimbatore is all set to resume with the appointment of the district judge, K. Uthirapathi, as the presiding officer. The appointment has come more than 50 days after the then judge, R. Sivakumar, was transferred to Krishnagiri, on April 1.

At present, Mr. Uthirapathi is the third additional district judge in Pondicherry and he has been posted to the special court on deputation.

D. Ramabadran, civil judge (senior division), now on deputation in the Tamil Nadu State Judicial Service and functioning as the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate in Egmore, has been repatriated and posted as Director of Prosecution in the Pondicherry Law Department.

He replaces C. Roupavathi, who has been transferred to Villupuram as the first additional sub-judge on deputation.
