More grain for Rajasthan

NEW DELHI May 22. The Union Food Ministry has decided to supply 14 lakh tonnes of foodgrains to Rajasthan over the next two months, to augment the availability of food stocks in the State.

The decision was taken following a meeting convened by Arun Bhatnagar, Secretary, Department of Food, with senior officials of the FCI and the Ministry of Agriculture and Co-operation on Wednesday to assess the requirement of foodgrains for the drought-affected areas of Rajasthan.
