Bandyopadhyay dares Mamata

New Delhi May 24. The feud in the Trinamool Congress intensified after the Cabinet reshuffle tonight with an upset Sudip Bandyopadhyay challenging his party chief, Mamata Banerjee, to take disciplinary action against him.

Mr. Bandyopadhyay, whose entry into the Union Cabinet was stalled by Ms. Banerjee, told PTI: "if raising the issue of law and order in West Bengal with the Prime Minister or the Deputy Prime Minister amounts to anti-party activities, then it is very unfortunate. I want to know what crime have I committed".

Earlier, the party working committee in Kolkata recommended action against him for alleged "anti-party activities".

"I have enjoyed enough love and affection from both Vajpayeeji and Advaniji and have had excellent relations with them. I will continue to follow their path, as they are the only leaders who can lead the country today. I am prepared to face any disciplinary action for maintaining the best of relations with them," he said adding that he would reply to any notice or letter on disciplinary action.

Mr. Bandyopadhyay said that though he was a founder-member of the Trinamool Congress, he was not invited to the working committee meeting.
