KOZHIKODE MAY 26. The number of patients recovering from the dreaded lung cancer and aneurism with the aid of cardio-thoracic surgeons is on the rise in the State, according to Nasser Yusuf, organising secretary of the convention of Kerala Cardio-Thoracic Surgeons Club. Dr Yusuf said here today these and similar achievements in the field of cardio-thoracic surgery had been the focus of the 21 papers presented at the fourth State convention of the club held at the Kadav Resorts here yesterday. The 21 papers presented at the conference were eloquent testimonials to the long strides taken by cardiac-thoracic surgeons in the State, Dr. Yusuf pointed out today while summing up the deliberations at the convention. Facilities for cardio-thoracic surgery in the State were among the best in the country. The surgeons had now started conducting more complicated surgeries than the common by-pass operations.
