Tremors rock Uttaranchal

Gopeshwar May 27. A series of tremors today rocked Chamoli district of Uttaranchal without causing any loss of life or property. Four tremors of mild intensity were recorded with the first measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale occurring at 9.42 a.m., official sources said. Another tremor measuring 4.4 shook the area around 9.53 a.m.

After five hours two more tremors were recorded at an interval of one minute and lasting 2.5 seconds each. — PTI
