Once appointed, the full timer would dedicate the next one and a half years exclusively to carry out party activities like identification of prospective voters, publicise Government programmes and interact with the cadre and leaders of different local units as well as the heads of different communities to ensure that the party's prospects remain bright. Informing this at a press conference here on Tuesday, the BJP floor leader in the Assembly, N. Indrasena Reddy, said the decision to appoint full timers comes in tune with the BJP's target of securing 300 seats in the next Lok Sabha elections. Referring to the national meeting of the BJP's presidents, general secretaries and organisational in-charges of different States scheduled for May 29 and 30, he said that the Deputy Prime Minister and senior BJP leader, L.K. Advani, and the BJP national president, M. Venkaiah Naidu, will participate in the meeting and guide the party cadre about the strategies to be adopted for the next elections.
