The authorities have spent Rs. 1.3 crores for the project and are awaiting the release of Rs. 20 lakhs for the completion of the park. Forest Department officials said flower gardens, water fountains, duck, swan ponds, bird sanctuary, and lush green lawns had been developed. The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation would offer facilities like water sports, pedal boating. A multi-cuisine restaurant would be run in the park. A special attraction of the park would be the environmental education centre which houses a small theatre to screen films on environment and nature, library on environmental sciences, a museum on ecological system etc. A green house to sell various varieties of saplings for the public was set up. The Karimnagar Divisional Forest Officer (West), Y. Madhusudhan Reddy, said initially the park was being developed on 15 acres of land. About 15 to 20 deer, including cheetal, blackbuck, sambar etc., would be released. The department would conduct programmes on protection of environment.
