AI lowers fares

MUMBAI May 27. Air India has joined the fare war on the domestic sector by announcing fares lower than the apex fares of the domestic carriers, Indian Airlines and Jet Airways and Sahara. All AI flights between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on the domestic leg of its international flights would be cheaper by five per cent compared to the apex fares with immediate effect. The night flights would be lower by 10 per cent compared to its own special rates and 15 per cent less than the apex fares of the other domestic airlines.
