Vijay Kannan, Mustafa Ghouse and Sunil Kumar are expected to be the top three seeds in a field that has very few foreign players. The welcome news will be that Prakash Amritraj will be trying his hand at the Satellite level, after having ventured in the Tour events, Challengers and Futures. However, Harsh Mankad has pulled out, and Rohan Bopanna will be busy playing the Challengers and possibly the qualifying event of the Queen's tournament in the United Kingdom. Ajay Ramaswami, Vinod Sridhar, Manoj Mahadevan, Vishaal Uppal, Rishi Sridhar, Sandeep Kirtane, Rohan Gajjar and Punna Vishal are the other Indian players listed to have a direct entry into the main draw of the first event. Kamala Kannan and Stephen Amritraj are likely to get two of the wild cards. The second leg will be held in Chandigarh, while the third leg and the Masters events will be hosted by the DLTA here.
