Football
After a listless first half devoid of any thrill, Dempo got the better of Churchill Brothers in the 73rd minute when Clinton D'souza beat the off side trap and cut past keeper Agnelo Martins to score the only goal of the match. Churchill, which dominated the second half, had better scoring chances. But Kingsley D'costa and Roger Rodrigues failed to find the target. Keeper Rosebud Diniz also effected a good save off Godwin Franco's free kick.
