Farmers to get computers

GUWAHATI May 28. The Assam Government has decided to provide the farmers with computers to ensure that they get proper access to the markets and a better deal in selling their produce.

Growers' societies are being formed all over the State and they will be provided with delivery vans to transport their products to the main markets. The societies will also be provided Internet facility. A website will inform them in the local language the prevailing prices of vegetables in principal markets.
