East Godavari topped the list of districts with 85 deaths. Next on the list were Nalgonda (82), West Godavari, Karimnagar and Prakasam (52 each), Guntur (46), Krishna (37), Nellore (26), Chittoor (12), Warangal (11), Khammam (nine), Adilabad (six), Mahbubnagar and Ranga Reddy (five each), Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam (four each), Kurnool (three), Nizamabad (two). Surprisingly, the office said no deaths were reported from Hyderabad, although there were reports in newspapers. It said no deaths were reported from Anantapur and Medak districts. Meanwhile, the met office has warned of heatwave conditions in the districts of Nellore, Prakasam, Krishna, Warangal, Mahbubnagar, Medak and parts of Rayalaseema districts during the next two days. On Tuesday, severe heatwave conditions prevailed in the districts of Prakasam, Krishna and Warangal. Heatwave conditions were experienced over Rayalaseema and in the districts of East Godavari, Nellore, Khammam, Mahbubnagar and Medak. The maximum temperature was above normal at a few places in the remaining districts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The highest maximum temperature of 47 degrees Celsius was recorded at Hanamakonda and Vijayawada Airport.
