Letters to the Editor
Sir, The fact that income tax officers are prepared to pay heavy bribes for a posting in Mumbai their El Dorado should open the eyes of the authorities. It is common knowledge that the moment an I-T officer lands in Mumbai the business houses take care of his personal needs such as furnished house, vehicles, club membership, foreign tour, etc. The latest to be added is pilgrimage tours. The CBI should keep such persons under observation.
