15 militants killed in Kashmir

Srinagar May 29. At least 15 militants were killed today in an encounter with security forces in Anantnag district in south Kashmir, defence sources here said.

The encounter began early this morning, following a tip-off about their presence in Lacchipora village.

The sources said the killed militants were believed to be of foreign origin. The toll could go up, as the exact number could not be ascertained since the operation was continuing. — PTI
