School manual released

CHENNAI May 29. The School Education department has released a `School Manual', which will provide guidelines for headmasters to assess and improve the learning and achievement levels of students.

It would also provide ways and means for school heads to improve the academic and teaching levels, as a step-by-step approach, right from the first day after reopening of the school to the last day of the academic year.

The School Education department held an orientation programme for selected headmasters at the State-level in Chennai in the last two days.

Similar workshops would be held at the district-level for all headmasters on Friday and Saturday, to help the school heads suggestions for academic improvements and general educational standards in the State.
