The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Detection), Pradeep Sawamt confirmed the arrival of the Riaz Siddiqui and Raj Kumar Sharma in Mumbai at around 10.20 p.m. The two are wanted by the Mumbai police in several cases of murder, extortion and other crimes. Police officials said these two deportations will give a major blow to the activities of the organised crime syndicate, particularly to the Dawood Ibrahim gang, many of whose members are based in the Gulf region.
