Vysya Bank launches facilities

By Our Staff Correspondent

TUMKUR MAY 29. Vysya Cooperative Bank Limited (VCBL), which has its head office here, has launched two new facilities — "Any Time Banking' (ABB) and "Demand Draft Shop" (DD Shop) — at its main branch and at two branches in Bangalore — APMC Yard, 4th Main, Yeshwantpur and B.V.K. Iyengar Road, Chickpet.

Presiding over the function held on Wednesday to launch the facilities, the VCBL Chairman, N.S. Jayakumar, said the bank would introduce mobile banking (through SMS) and tele banking through the interactive voice response system (IVRS) within a week. The ABB facility would enable customers, who had accounts at the branches concerned, to access any facility in any branch, and the DD Shop would be open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. to help an accountholder reduce the risk of managing or carrying a great deal of cash overnight.
